Hello I have a p1s with an ams compartment, and for the last three months or so, it’s been working perfectly fine. About a week or two ago I was using the machine to make the same product.I’ve been making over the last few months because i’m making swag for conventions
Suddenly, it’s stopped printing, but it never addressed that the printer stopped and said the task was complete
I disassembled the extruder and cleared up the filament that was clogged jammed.
And stuck inside
But it still wasn’t working, because it says that it is clogged
So I replace the hot end and it still says that the extruder will not pass the filament because it’s clogged or jammed
After reassembling and disassembling it multiple times I decided to order a brand new one.And even after installing the brand new extruder, it still says that it’s clogged or jammed, which is impossible since it’s brand spanking new
Could somebody please help me to understand why this is happening?If there’s a trick or a method or something.
Originally, I was using silk plus filament.Now, i’m using standard mattel filament, and it’s still not registering it or working right
Just to narrow it down take the PTFE out of the top of the toolhead, heat the nozzle to 220 and see if you can manually extrude by putting a piece of filament in the top and hitting extrude on the printer’s screen.
I had a similar issue some months ago to the point that I decided to replace the entire hot end and gearing. On removing the gearing I discovered I couldn’t turn it by hand and on closer inspection I found a tiny slither of black metal which was caught between the gears ( I’m assuming it was off the hardened surface finish ).

There may be filament stuck inside of the AMS system, you may want to pull it out to be sure, this happened to me, and it tried to pull out the filament for hours. So I had to do that. Or I would just replace the PTEF tubes and see if that works.
