Hope some one can help with this. As the title says im getting the extruder overload error whilst ironing on my 1 month old H2C.
It only happens at the very last couple of passes when ironing. I tell it problem resolved on the display and it continues no issue.
I have removed front and checked everything is clean and no obvious issues. Is this a bug that any body else is seeing. Im still new to this but it is annoying.
There’s an option that controls how much additional material is to be extruded during ironing - what’s it set to? Have you tried reducing it or disabling it entirely?
How does your surface look after ironing, are there signs of excessive material?
HI and thanks for the reply, like i say im still new to this. I ran a iron caliobration test from maker world.
I have it set at 55mm/s with 30% flow and it looks really clean and shiny.
It irons the full surface with out an issue but at the very end it errors. It will iron for hours and then last 30secs error about extruder.
Any help woul be amazing.
30% is toward the top end of ironing flow rate, what’s happening is more material is being melted than can be extruded, pressure eventually builds up to the point where you get the overload. I’d suspect for smaller parts you may not see an overload message at all, and for larger parts it would happen mid-iron, and not at the end.
I suspect your best path forward is to reduce the ironing flow rate a bit.
