Hi all,
Just recently I started to reprint after my nozzle stopped working, and at around the 3rd print since the replacement, the filament went out the side of the extruder, like completely skipping the nozzle and going weirdly out the side of the extruder. So I replaced the extruder gears, and now my filament doesn’t go out the side, but makes a weird click/grindy noise when I try to extrude it. I have this picture of what the filament looks like after an extrude, and I just can’t get my filament extruded for some reason.
Any help??
Do you have any pictures?
What were the consequences? i.e. the filament got stuck to which parts of the toolhead? Were you able to save the same parts?
You can try to reduce the bolt tension for the extruder gears, yet in my opinion, and from what I see from the BL extruder, this should be needed unless something is wrong.
My advice is to read the extruder and take pictures to share it so one can look for any faulty parts.
Then, without the nozzle, just extrude some filament to see if it is still noisy and if it grinds the filament.
