X1C 30 days old. Did have an extruder clog, but disassembled the entire unit, cleaned it, and rebuilt. Did clear a very small filament clog. Now the unit has trouble loading (catching) the filament when loading. It loads about 10% of the time. Error codes possible extruder clog. There is no clog. Any suggestions for troubleshooting? Obviously it takes a long time to get the filament to take and start to print.
During a nozzle clog, it is possible for the extruder to abrade the filament. The dust accumulates first in the extruder gears (from where it needs to be cleaned) and may release again into the nozzle. Depending on filaments, that can again lead to a (partial) nozzle clog.
Furthermore, if the extruder has abraded the filament, you’ll need to chop off the first 10 to 20cm of your filament to allow the (cleaned) extruder to catch it again.

Thank you for response. I have tried all of the above. Today, I took apart the extruder, cleaned it, checked to make sure filament feeds through, and all the gears and the sensor is working. The problem persist. It loads and unloads the filament until it catches and prints 1 out of ~8 times.
Ok. Do you also get the “failed to feed filament” error? And is the problem when using the AMS or the rear spool?
If from the AMS, you may want to check the PTFE ends for wear and proper seating.
Also, did you chop off the front 20cm of the filament that could not be grabbed?
If it is none of these things and no specific error messages appear, it may get tricky. Did you print CF filament recently?
Can you feed filament manually through the extruder using the display
And do you have a spare extruder and/or nozzle? At least a spare nozzle should have come with the X1C.
