I had the blob issue on the hot end and followed the wiki instructions to clean it up. If you heat the hot end to the right temp for your filament (e.g., 250 C for PLA) the melted plastic sticks to a cotton cloth better than to the steel and wipes right off. Its the hard to reach nooks that are a challenge. I needed an Xacto #11 to pull away the plastic when a tweezers wouldn’t grab. It all seems to be working again. Used Elmers school glue stick to improve adhesion on a PEI bed. Boy did that stick! Now I’m going to try IPA to wipe the residue, but the test print well after cleaning the hot end.
