Hi! So this problem happens across multiple of my P1S and even my X1C at times.
On multicolor prints, I get the “failed to pull filament from toolhead” error on one specific ams slot and the print stops. I’ll press play and pull the Bowden tube from the back to free the filament, then the print continues as normal throughout the other colors. Then it’ll come back to the same color print its layer, and I’ll get the error again, print stops, I pull the tube again and it goes to other colors. The tube comes out fairly easily and seems to take just some human intervention to get it going again.
My problem is that it doesn’t happen every time it gets to that ams slot, only some layers. The layers are often isolated to not the whole print. So I’ll get through the first 50 layers of color changing no problem, then that slot acts up for 20 or so layers, then it stops. Within these 20 layers, the problem won’t occur every layer too. Maybe every other and it seems random. There’s nothing that actually affects the quality of the print. I’ve tried taking the roll out of the slot, recutting the end with scissors, making sure there’s no tangles, and putting it back in the slot in a slightly different position.
I’m using sunlu PLA filament and I have a weight in the middle too. It happens across all my printers too. Thanks for any advice!
