Hi all.
My P1S has been working fine for a year, then just stopped in the middle of a print with a blockage in the extruder unit, which I cleared, but this did not fix the issue. I have replaced the extruder unit, extruder motor and hot end, and it still fails to load the filament.
When I try to load the filament (PLA), it will start to pull it in and after a couple of seconds will make a repeated clicking noise, which I think may be the filament skipping. The filament never makes it to the nozzle, but there can’t be a blockage, as everything is new.
The filament is far enough in that I can’t pull it out, I have to go through the unload process, so it is being pull in, but just getting stuck somewhere.
Anyone know what issue this may be?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Hi. Is the tip of the filament very worn out? Have you tried cutting it?
Hey, thanks for the reply.
I took the filament out, it looked fine but cut it anyway, but it made no difference. Just continues to make that creaking sound instead of pulling the filament.
Is the filament cutter stuck or worn?
Can you show some open toolhead pic’s and indicate hiw far the filament goes in?
&
Did you ficx it? My p1s with ams2pro never worked. Never loads fillament, i even bought dryer and all bambu fillaments
I’d be interested to hear if you have managed to fix this, becuase you have described the problem that I’ve ecountered with my (relatively new) P1S, exactly.
Hello again. Sorry for the slow reply.
I removed the filament cutter and the clicking noise has stopped. However, now it just does absolutely nothing when trying to load the filament. I press load, the printer does it’s usual movements, but when you expect to see the spool start to rotate and the filament being pulled in, nothing happens.
I’ve kinda given up on the thing, which is why I’ve stopped playing around with it. But if anyone has any other ideas I’ll give them a try.
Thanks!
