False clogged nozzle error message

Hello,

I’m having an issue with my brand new Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo.

So far, I successfully printed:

  • one Benchy without any issue

  • one small 9-minute two-color print

Since then, every time I try to load/change filament or start a print, the printer reports a false clogged nozzle error.

However, I can confirm that the nozzle is NOT clogged:

  • when I manually extrude filament at 220°C, the filament comes out smoothly and cleanly

  • extrusion looks completely normal

  • no clicking or blockage symptoms

But despite that, I still get the clogged nozzle message every single time I:

  • start a print

  • load filament

  • change filament

Additional information:

  • I am printing with PLA only

  • I tested both:

    • Sunlu PLA+

    • Bambu Matte White PLA

  • same result with both filaments

  • AMS Lite setup

  • PTFE tubes are not stuck or pinched

  • spools rotate correctly

  • the 4-in-1 PTFE hub spring does not compress

  • I already tried a full factory reset, but it did not solve the issue

I’m having trouble understanding what could cause this, since extrusion itself works perfectly.

Could someone help me understand what may be happening or what I should test next?

Thank you!

Update:The problem seems to be with the AMS because when I charge the wire from the ext spool I have no problem.

Have you reviewed the connecting guide for the A1/AMS?

Update 2 : Actually, no, I also have the problem with the external spool. The print stalls at startup, thinking there’s a knot in the spool, which is obviously not the case, and again, when I extrude manually, everything works fine.

Otherwise, yes, I followed all the instructions as indicated in the documentation.

Are you getting a message? Is the external spool going through any hubs?
