Just bought P1S Combo, and was wondering that stupid feature. The starting procedure lasts way too long, several minutes and there is no need to waste filament with purging. I nearly always use same filament and I really hope that @BambuLab would give us the option tho choose not to purge and shorten the starting sequence!
+1 - im rapid proto-typing a design (~7min print time).
writing this while the printer is again doing its 6min start-up and purges of the same filament it will use after i’ve checked out the printed part and made adjustments.
it would be great to keep the printer in a “will continue with a small part again in a few short monemnts” state.
While waiting for the feature, one can use the external spool holder for prototyping. The filament will stay loaded after the printing is done. The filament will be out in the open air but for prototyping that uses PLA it should be ok.
@DWdesigns yeah, that doesn’t work though. The printer still purges before starting a new print. This is ridiculous.
I found a Fast Start G-code that really does work on the A1. It only does one purge and is very fast to start the print. It’s a life changer!
