Things have come a long way since way back before gifs were allowed, and now the community feature allows you to upload videos and post.
However in a model you are only allowed to embed a video or upload a .gif. Can we have the same ability to upload a video into a model page? Not in the cover images, just being able to place somewhere in the body.
Sidenote - I haven’t figured out how to embed a video; maybe is youtube only? It just tells me invalid URL or something like that.
I am so confused by this option. The instructions are nonexistent and incomplete. It does not tell you a file size or format to use. It is completely useless. When you do use a format it will accept, it tells you the file is too large. They want you to make a video with 3 full 360 degree passes. This aparently makes the file too large. What am I missing here?
On which part of the model upload process are you seeing this particular requirement?
Are you trying to upload a file as the Model Cover, Model Pictures or as part of the Description?
If you are uploading a Cover or Model picture, video formats are not supported - only jpg/gif/png/webp. I find that it helps to use something like EzGif to reduce the file size of GIFs.
If you are wanting to include a video in the Description, you can embed a Youtube video by clicking the movie icon in the toolbar and pasting the link to the Youtube video.
The instructions instruct the user to take a cell phone and take a video of the item with 3 circling passes. One high pass around the object, one pass at eye level, and a third pass from a low angle. That is all the instruction I get. I tried to move the video into the program as instructed, and then I got the error message.
I then found a converter to turn the video into a .gif file. I then tried to load that into the program, and it tells me it is too big.
Not sure what to do here. I need to model a part and recreate it several times.
Ah, ok I see. This form topic is about uploading videos to model pages so it’s really a different subject. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the AI scanner so I don’t think I’ll be able to help - hopefully someone else here can.
