I was modifying a cylindrical object and applying fuzzy skin, but I wanted certain sections to remain smooth without the fuzzy texture. To do this, I added two modifiers, but I had trouble aligning them perfectly to the center of the object. I couldn’t find any centering or alignment tool to make this easier.
It would be really helpful if we could select a modifier, then hold Shift and select the object being modified, right-click, and choose a “Center” option to automatically align the modifier to the object’s center.
A way to center in all directions with a single click might be helpful, but the Move tool does have options to center left-right, front-back, and top-bottom.
Also, the world coordinates are the position of an object’s center. Another method would be to make a note of the object’s coordinates and then apply them to the modifier.
thanks lkraus that helps, but would be still good if we have a button like in the Lightburn software if you have used it, You just have to select the two objects and press one button and it aligns both object centers together no matter where they are on the build plate
