Feature Request: Implement a Monthly Resetting Point System for Active Users

The Problem: Currently, the strict caps or complete lack of points for reviewing and rating profiles means everyday users have less incentive to keep interacting with existing models after hitting a wall. It discourages continuous platform engagement.

The Suggestion: Implement a point system that resets every calendar month. Give users a fresh monthly pool (e.g., earning a max of 50 or 80 points per month) specifically for rating print profiles, reviewing models, and uploading new designs. This keeps the community active while preventing spam bots from farming infinite points.

Final Message: If you agreed with this, then please vote for it so we can have a better point system and a nicer community! Thanks for reading! Bye!

It was like that a couple of years ago. You could get X points in a month for rating print profiles but they took it away. People were gaming the system

Exactly, it was way too easy to earn points doing essentially nothing

It was worse than doing nothing. Some started a print then stopped it right away to get the prompt for rating, then rated it 3 stars because 3 stars is highest one can rate when a print is not completed. So essentially spending no filament and no time but gaining reward points while screwing up some creators’ rating.

But like what if they actually just made sure to solve those issues and let people do it again? They would try and flag people who cheated the system and then we could get points for actually doing things again!

For info only.

Bambu Lab and MakerWorld officially ended the points program for rating print profiles in October 2025. The reward was a limited-time incentive, and while it lasted, it allowed users to earn up to 50 points per month for leaving reviews.

The removal of the feature took place without a formal warning, although the task had always been marked as “limited-time” in the platform’s terms. Following its termination, community discussions indicate that the rating feature was removed entirely for most users, though a brief A/B testing phase allowed some to keep the functionality temporarily.

This is literally all we could use to do and now its just stuck on this screen forever and will never change XD

Make some models, make more if you already have some and share them.

You will earn points that way.

Nowhere near the good old days (which I also missed), but a successful model can buy you a printer or several (as in my case).

Use them yourself or donate them, which I have done to schools along with filament and spares that they can help seed the next generation.
