Feature Request: MakerWorld API or RSS Feed for User Data

Hi BambuLab Team

I’d love to suggest a feature that would help creators (like myself) and developers build even more integrations and creative projects around MakerWorld.

The idea

Add either:

  1. An official MakerWorld API allowing users to fetch their public profile information such as:
  • Level
  • Total downloads
  • Print count
  • Likes / favorites
  • Followers / following
  • Recent uploadsThis would allow us to build cool visual dashboards, integrations for personal websites, or even physical displays (like stat trophies, badges, or progress meters).

OR

  1. A user-specific RSS feed for example:
  • Showing new uploads from creators you follow
  • Once-per-day summary posts with current stats (downloads, prints, likes, etc.)

This would be much simpler to implement but still give creators and followers a great way to stay updated automatically.

Why this matters

Many MakerWorld users have been asking for API access for quite some time, and it seems there aren’t current plans for one.
A small step like this would:

  • Empower makers to showcase their achievements and activity
  • Encourage community-driven tools, dashboards, and integrations
  • Bring more visibility and traffic to MakerWorld through shared stats and creative visualizations

Please consider adding either a read-only API or an RSS feed option for user data, it would be a huge boost for creators and the MakerWorld ecosystem as a whole.

Thanks!

+1 on that.

I’d also add to that:

  • Modifying model descriptions/docs via API so I can source those via a nice Github Workflow.
  • Search the model database for certain tags
  • CRUD operations for collections

If devs fear for traffic surge, you could only make it available for creators above a certain follower/download/creation/reputation level + rate limiting.
