Feature Request: Modular AMS

I have an H2D and am considering purchasing another. I also have two of the AMS 2 Pros and one HT AMS with another one scheduled to arrive today. I’m considering adding a second H2D to my setup which prompted the line of thought concerning how to handle all these AMS units. It occurs to me that if you treated the AMS units as one big modular system, you could route PTFE tubing in such a way that any AMS could feed any printer through any head. The only thing that would likely be necessary is some updated software and maybe a new hub design along with communication/power wiring. Is this something Bambu has considered at all? I’m imagining all my printers sitting on one bench with a row of wall-mounted AMS units above with everything connected in such a way as to allow me to print with any filament from any AMS on any printer. Thoughts?

One ams only has one exit and thus only can service one machine at a time. With a central hub or something, you might end up with a scenario where P1 is using AMS1.slot1 and P2 requests AMS1.slot2. Impossible till P1 is done, do you wait, abort, ? This sorta thing would be more possible with the AMS lite, actually, since it sends 4 spaghettis

Fair point. Even if you can’t feed multiple printers with a single AMS, a more modular approach would still make it easier to utilize the AMS the way I would like to. For instance, PETG only in one AMS, ABS in another, etc.

would be a slick idea and would be able to utilize the units better for prints.
