They mentioned it to a few reviewers at launch (also I believe there was a Bambu confirmation in the forums after).
Can you please bring this to the P2S?. My UPS works beautifully with the P1S but the bed heating of the P2S uses almost 1000W and trips my UPS. I’d really appreciate it!
I only ran across this because my 120v 15amp circuit tripped. My H2D has been fine for 5 months on a CybePower UPS 1500, along with my Sourceforge Adventure Pro, A 20 gallon fish tank air pump+filter. Also 2 TVs, Router, 5 hubs, 2 computers. After 5 months with all of this running the F01 error beeped on the UPS, as well as the wiring/battery error70x error.
Long story short. I found this thread.
I moved to a 120v/20AMP circuit and removed all but the single BAMBU H2D.
The UPS beeped the F01 error but did not close the circuit. (For the first time)
I switched to another UPS. A UPC 1500. Same error.
The screen output on the UPSes show the pull from the bed heating flashing up to 527 watts and 250ish. Back and forth between these numbers. With great rapidity.
I believe a fast/standard time-dwell setting of the plate/nozzle warmup that can be done at the printer panel is not too much of an ask?!?
Although I am an American by birth, and raised in a zip code in New Jersey, even I have the patience to wait for an extended startup of my fuzzy bunny prints.

I used to be able to get around this issue by manually heating the bed either on the printer itself or through Bambu Studio before a print. This would slowly raise the temp and wouldn’t trigger any alarms from my UPS.
However, only recently has this changed and I am no longer able to heat the bed this way. Everything now reverts to the quick-heat option which just pulls too much current.
I raised a support ticket about a low power mode and got told it will be coming in the next major FW update.
It’s in the latest beta V01.02.30.06
Though for some reason Bambu refers to it being “best used” with a UPS:

Still waiting on the H2D! Cmon we need this!
This is in the latest firmware. Check “low power mode” in your settings if you’re on firmware release 01.03.00.00 (H2D firmware release history | Bambu Lab Wiki).
YES!!! Confirmed I updated to 01.03.00.00 and enabled Low Power Mode. No more screaming UPS! And with my cool plate it still took no time at all to heat. If you are using an engineering filament or even PETG that needs a much higher temp for the bed it may a little time to the print. But for PLA there is absolutely no reason not to enable this. Thank you Bambu! Now hopefully the same feature for the H2S is right around the corner?
Yes, how about that H2S? I’m tired of my UPS barking when it heats up.
So… Whats the wattage draw on low power mode? How many can I now fix on a circuit lol Currently I have each on on a dedicated 20amp that I add a bunch of other crap full well knowing better haha
I’m also trying to find this out. Surprisingly hard to find.
This has now been implemented with the H2S! Thank you very much. My UPS and people that have to listen to it thank you also. One more, can we get the same thing on the P2S? I’ve been replacing my A1s with P2S and have found I have the same issue if I start multiple prints on the P2S. Even just starting 2 of them at the same time causes my UPS to go off. I only expect them to run less than 30 seconds on UPS power which is more than enough for 95% of the time I have a power issue.
I can heat my h2d and h2c up at the same time now. 15amp 120v. For me, this was the 2nd best update ever. Right behind x1c noise cancelling
And just like that. Low-Power Mode implemented in the latest firmware for the P2S too!
Added Low-Power Mode for the heatbed.
Designed for users with limited power supply environments. It lowers the maximum peak power by extending the heatbed’s heating time.
This 100%. I have 12 Printers, X1C and P1S. I’ve used 4 CyberPower UPS and not once had a high power warning even when starting 3 X1Cs at the same time. I plugged one new P2S into the UPS by itself and got a loud warning indicator for 30 seconds. I cannot afford to buy 10 new 1500W UPS for a 30 second high load. We need a low-power setting. We get that it will take longer to heat, and we don’t care.
Update your P2S firmware. This was just added.
