Feature-Request. Z-Hop ONLY on Layerchange

Hi @all and @the Bambu Team,

i would like to ask if it would be possible to add an option for Z-Hop, but ONLY on a layer change ?

Without Z-Hop, the Printer (P2S now, P1S before) always scars flat surfaces because no matter what it will run over already printed parts instead of moving around.

With Z-Hop otherwise, stringing gets worse. And i cant stand the sound at Z-Hopping.

So i would need an option to enable Z-Hop, but not at every retraction… but JUST on a layerchange…

There’s an option in the slicer to make it avoid crossing over walls on travel moves.

this sounds like “Reduce Infill Retraction” - enabled in the default profiles, if you arent paying attention

Turn that off

Reduce Infill Retraction is disabled.

avoid crossing walls is enabled but does not what it should (moving around the object instead of over it.)

You might first try to find out why you get stringing with a Z-hop.

Maybe drying the filament can help to reduce the stringing.

What material are you using?

The Z-hop is there for that reason, to not scar your part in case of slight over extrusion. Just disabling it because You can’t stand the sound, is doing it for the wrong reasons.
