Issue:
I prefer using 3mf files as it is then much easier to manage the colours when i am just altering the pre-defined colours to different ones, not changing where colours are.
Each time i do this, even though i click X2D, the model designers machine is perm added. There is absolutely no need for this. Temp add, sure (still not sure what value there is), but it should go away with a new project.
Why this is an issue:
Because it is annoying extra work every print unless the desinger has an x2d, and very annoying to keep removing them only to get them back when i select a new 3mf, especially from your own site. to make matters worse, when i click to manage/remove printers, it doesnt work properly, or if it is deisgned to work this way, it was a very bad idea. i must select the newly added printer i dont want, THEN select to add remove printers. Sometimes it will then show you them all, often times does not and only the one i currenly had selected to be able to remove. i currently have 3 printers to remove.
I cannot see a use case outside of enterprise where perm adding the printer is a good idea, and even then, it isnt a good idea.
The Fix I Would Want:
If BBL really want this for whatever reason, atleast fix removing them from a single place. But a simple prompt on 3mf import to ask if you want to add that printer would suffice. i would rather an extra click on import than several clicks to keep removing, if it is doesnt want to mess you around.
