FedEx DESTROYED my new printer

Because in the event of a return or any issues, the package is not sent back to Bambu but to eTarget Limited? This is why the name ‘eTarget Limited’ appears in the ‘from’ field?

You can also read all about it here:

“eTarget Limited: The Hidden Power Behind the UK’s Online Fulfilment Network”

Let me guess - it’s another non-issue blown out of proportion by you, including threats to contact lawyers and consumer protection organisations, and as always, nothing happens?

I don’t mean this personally, but you’re already known on the forum for acting like a lawyer - and then it turns out to be a big nothingburger. How many times by now? Definitely more than five times?

Remind me of a “toothless tiger.” In other cultures, they also call it a “paper tiger”.

I should ignore this, but a few facts might actually help this discussion. If anyone wants to read up on all this: See the link - it’s just standard business practice. People may not like it, but it’s really nothing special - just everyday business, even with the name and “from” field.

Alternatively, here’s a second link to back up my statement with facts from a UK consumer and news blog website.

I’m disagreeing with the outcome of your argument. I’m pretty sure you’ve seen a dozens of times when someone shipped under a different name; you just never paid attention until this. It is a common occurrence. Unless you’ve never ordered anything online, except from Bambu Lab… which, logically, very hard to believe.

You don’t have to look too deep, when we answer is on the surface.

For BL? Maybe. For other companies? None of large companies are shipping anything in a huge box with their logo. This is done to reduce the amount of random street thefts. Nothing can be more fancy to steal if you have a bigass laptop-like box with a huge Apple logo on it. It doesn’t mean it prevents thefts, but it is done to reduce.

First time doing business? The name shown on tracking shows the name of the shipping account holder.

Logistic chains do not create a gazillion of shipping accounts with FedEx, UPS, etc. just for the sake of having convenient name. It’s simpler for everyone (except receiver) to just have one shipping account that you maintain and negotiate shipping rates through. Otherwise you would have to negotiate for every single account you create.

I didn’t say the exact opposite, you just lost the context of the previous sentence.

Let’s be honest, you are just ■■■■■■■■ about this. It’s not a legal requirement or any requirement in the world to use legal name for shipping. Want to use legal names for shipping? Do you even know BL’s real name? It’s Shenzhen Tuozhu Technology Co., Ltd. and BAMBULAB UK LIMITED is nothing more than a reseller on legal papers. So don’t even go into debris of legal BS, no one wants to deal with it.

No, your agreement is with Bambu Lab or whatever their entity is, so in case of any issues - you are dealing with BL, not their warehouse.

It’s quite the same common mistake where people think that if carrier damaged something - then the carrier (FedEx or whoever) is responsible. Nope, sender is always the responsible party.

It’s exactly what this is.

I get it, it would be much better if everyone would have the correct names on shipping, but we live in this imperfect world. Also, different names on shipping don’t shift any legal liability, just saying.

Yes, that’s what I meant, but now that I’m reading it myself, I realize I didn’t express it very well. Thanks for your additional information and for bringing some facts to the table. :+1:

Except you didn’t.

You specifically disagreed with my experience.

I am talking about BL, why do people keep using things unrelated as an argument against something not said?

Nope, that would have been 1996 when I started the first of my businesses.

Assuming, makes an… I guess you know the rest of that saying.

I shipped goods and received goods for decades, I wrote software to automate these tasks amongst many others to make businesses work efficiently.

I have no idea what your knowledge of software, installations, logistics company in the field, I do, but maybe my quality standards are higher than everyone else.

So, I asked Google the quest to seek an answer I didn’t make up or pull out of my…

You do not have to use the logistics company’s name as the sender. You can set your own business name as the “Sender” or “Shipper” of record on the shipping labels, waybills, and tracking pages, even while using a third-party courier. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Details

  • Shipping Labels: Your business name and address can appear in the “Ship From” section. This builds brand recognition and ensures returns go directly to you.
  • Tracking Pages: When customers view tracking via carriers (like DHL Express or Royal Mail), the tracking dashboard can typically display your business name as the sender. [1, 2, 3]
  • Commercial Invoice: For international shipments, the logistics company will be listed as the carrier, but your business must be declared as the “Exporter” or “Shipper” of record. [1, 2]

To customize your labels, you simply need to enter your company details when booking the shipment through the logistics provider’s dashboard or when generating shipping labels through your fulfillment software.

Weird, the identical answer to mine, interestingly it points out what should have been obvious, the customer types in their information. Weird, like I said, like I wrote myself as it is obvious and not…

They do.

Let’s check.

You first said…

You ended with…

Maybe I misread that, but it reads as if, they don’t, then they do.

Nice attitude. I am simply correcting all the ‘helpful’ people saying “this doesn’t happen”, while talking about something not said by me.

I don’t like others saying I said x when they are arguing I said y.

When did I say it was?

Yes, I do.

I never mentioned this entity.

Until you have to of course.

Like the phrase “back the blue until it happens to you”.

Everything is great until you have to get the police involved with thefts of packages from the delivery staff which is the legal responsibility of the seller to resolve who flat out refused to get involved after they said “we are investigating” and never once got in touch with delivery company they contracted.

If you haven’t had to deal with this, I imagine you believe it doesn’t happen and can’t happen. Yet, the forum is replete with such examples from many different people in many different countries.

The assumption that “it hasn’t happened to me” means it can’t have happened to others is a strange blinkered view the belies common sense.

An excellent sentiment you seem to ignore when I bring up the fact BL do not accept any responsibility for such things and deny any involvement.

So, BL is responsible, just not when it is my packages involved?

Yet, it is another example of a company determined to not follow laws within the countries they sell and who actively (through intent or incompetence) screw up every for, of communication.

I hope you don’t have issues with BL in the future as you have demonstrated a significant incapacity for understanding that it happens and you are ill equipped to handle it as you can’t even consider it possible that every single person who said it happened to them is being truthful.

I assume ignorance is bliss, I prefer reality.

Has anyone said they do not understand what a fulfilment service provider is?

That is not part of the issues being discussed.

Good general knowledge, but off topic.

So far, no one has claimed that it “didn’t happen at all”; they’ve just put your statement into context. The only one who brought that claim into the discussion was yourself. Is that an argument you’re throwing into the ring yourself just to play the victim?

Is this another one of your typical “I’m the victim” responses? Why don’t you respond on a more objective level… you really do bring this card up in every single discussion these days.

Yeah, I’m going to stay out of this one, for now. I’ve seen this happen so many times those artificial nothingburgers… they all taste the same.

You say all of this about how you know all the stuff, yet in here all you do is just “I’m cookie and all I can do is sit on a countertop and melt down”.

Bambu Lab can do “whatever” they want. They can reject liability, it is in their right to be aaaassholes. But… all of this is easily countered by a simple chargeback. Bambu Lab is legally liable for any damages, not deliveries and etc. There are tons of companies who are playing aggressively dumb hoping on less intelligent clientele to just shut up and move on.

Delivery issue –> Contact BL –> If they reject, save all correspondence and proofs –> Contact your bank, initiate chargeback –> Provide proofs collected earlier –> Done –> Reorder what you wanted.

I’ve had a lot of issues with BL in the past, you probably can’t even imagine. Probably one of the biggest BL hater to be honest, my comment history don’t lie lol.

Perfect statement on how to derail yourself.

First we had AI chatbots here, now we got Karen yelling at the cloud. But for real Malc, are you ok buddy? Having bad day today or what?

I’d bet good money that you didn’t a few posts ago when you were finding it strange that you were seeing eTarget on shipments from Bambu.

Excellent advice for those who used gift cards for purchases.

And yet…

Derogatory comments is your best way to show how your arguments stood up.

Name calling.

I didn’t spend time arguing someone was wrong about a subject never mentioned.

I didn’t say things don’t happen, that happen exactly as stated.

I didn’t assume the other party had zero experience in the direct and related fields.

But, yes, name calling wins out.

Then you lost that money. A quick search on the Companies House website provides that information.

As a person who started many businesses, I know how to do basic searches related to business activities.

Other than the heatwave, yes.

It doesn’t appear to be a genuine question of interest or politeness though, I thought there were rules here about name calling for example?

Several people write “you said x” when a quick read shows I said y.

Several people say don’t you know what logistics companies are, despite no such inference to that fact was shown by me.

Several people say “companies that use third party logistics companies have their own name of tracking or sender details” when that is demonstrably wrong. Given the subject was BL doing it, it was irrelevant. Google is a good resource, as are books and education.

I defend each of these and all the other mischaracterisation of what I said, and it is me apparently shouting into the clouds.

Correcting the record isn’t shouting into the clouds.

The strange thing is, none of you appear to lack the knowledge or capability to know these things, it just appears to be a purposeful attempt to muddy the waters for person gain or other disingenuous purposes.

Good luck to you all.

Facts matter, this forum and those seeking help deserve better.

here-we-go-here-we-go-again-meme-2079177965

Next, rant about the forum admins, why they don’t delete the alleged “name-calling” and why Mr. Malc is always the victim… followed by a wall of text about consumer protection, lawyers and legal advice, and how Mr. Malc is going to take action against all of it…

…it’s getting boring. If that were the case, half the forum would already have been banned, Bambu would have been sued a hundred times by Mr. Malc, and the consumer protection agency would have intervened a thousand times. I’ll say it again:

Remind me of a “toothless tiger.” In other cultures, they also call it a “paper tiger”.

Well, you didn’t assume, yet you assumed.

For your record, it was quite a genuine question. I always held you in high regard, so whatever is happening I brush off onto a bad day when you are Karen-ing around. It’s not a name calling, it’s an observation of the condition that you are bashing against the wall, when the door through the wall is next to you.

Yet you assumed again.

Maybe it’s about enough time for the internet today, eh? Speaking from experience. Take a deep breath and chill down.

Be careful. That’s how you get a new topic created about you.

Starting a sentence with “it appears” qualifies as a statement determining a potential belief.

Here is why it leans toward a potential belief rather than a flat-out assumption:

  • It relies on observation: An assumption is often made without any evidence at all. When you say it appears, you are usually looking at some form of data, behavior, or evidence. You are saying, “Based on what I can see right now, this seems to be the case.”
  • It expresses tentative belief: It signals that you are forming a conclusion, but you are leaving room for error. You believe it to be true for now, but you acknowledge that new information could change your mind.

In linguistics and philosophy, this is called a hedging phrase. It purposely softens your statement so you aren’t stating an unverified thought as absolute fact.

Seems you started to buy online from yesterday.
The only issue here is about the garbage companies of the last mile.
When I buy on the good old AliExpress, all stuff is from “cainiao whatever” and not “jayo online store” etcetera.
Subcontractors of the shipper is responsibility of the seller by the law.

“Ask the shipping agency about the shipping issue” is a '00 cliché from the worst sellers, who were getting merciless red feedbacks after trying that way.

Again devices like H2 are “2 drivers+truck with hydraulic lift delivery”
And nobody’s authorized to drop stuff out of the homes if owners aren’t present.

I really can’t stop laughing when I see pics from people who find the printer unattended on their porch/garden.

I can kill for way less /j

A more honest name for some of these last mile outfits would be JamalOnABicycle dot com. At least in Singapore, where we have easy access to legal cheap foreign workers. In the UK it’s more like MegacorpButTheDriversDontKnowHowUKPostcodesWorkDontTellTheHomeOffice dot com (I am dual national with homes in both countries, before anyone accuses me of country sterotyping)

They are. In the US - shipping carriers drop everything off on the street, unless the shipper explicitly requests “Signature required” option, which costs couple bucks more. In my case, I didn’t even have tracking for X2D, when suddenly I saw it on the street next to my building.

In the US it’s this

Why FedEx? Because people like the one above eventually get fired from FedEx/UPS and then rehired for whatever_garbage_last_mile_delivery.
