Feeling left out - no H2S firmware update

NGL - feeling bummed watchign the H2D and H2C peeps get all the fun…

Features i am looking forward too:
Low power mode for bed heatup
Drying functions from Handy or Studio (drying while printing - is also nice)
Air Purity option (I print a ton of ABS)
Pause butan will now work for 3d print
Air con mode can now use the filter
New cooling fan (not sure on this one because we use a different fan…maybe)

Either way - hopefully soon….

People get upset when updates take “too long” and people get upset when updates are buggy because they were released too early. It’s a balancing act. As stated above, patience is required.

Yeah, not even mad about it - just bummed - I am quite patient in reality - just a little internet venting - at this point it may be 2 days before I even know as I just put in a 46 hour print, so it can’t update during a print - so there is that
Also - use the search - so far I haven’t found a single anything about H2S firmware - is my google fu just that bad?

There isn’t anything to find other than the release notes for Studio. I have one as well and would love to have the Birdseye camera working for cutting.
Hopefully we will have it before you’re done with your print. We are the less complex (but no less important) of the three H series so it makes sense we’d be the third.

As pointed out there isnt a lot, when compared to other printer topics

If the H2D beta thread is any indication, the issue is not that they are taking extra time to ensure a rock‑solid release, but that this extended period has largely been used to cram in new features instead of focusing on core stability.
Especially the wonderfully “essential” new pause button in the top‑right corner – that was clearly so critical and so highly requested that it justified firmware taking ages to appear even in this so‑called open beta, which in reality is a very closed test.

My H2S prints and prints, also without update. So what, when there is an update, ok. If not, it prints, since 1150 hours. Just wait.

I’d love to see better fume exhaust options as I also print a ton of ABS and currently the choices aren’t good.
I’d be happy if we could control the top vent and have it remain closed but still run the rear exhaust fan at low speed to evacuate fumes!

This is one i am hoping for as well - I run an external charcoal/hepa combo and even it the top opened, between the exhaust running thru a filter and that exhaust being filtered, I bet I could clear everything up very quickly.

I just got the Voxel filter for the back of mine. Have not tried it yet.
I can run the cooling mode at 10% with no chamber heat loss but at 20% fan I will lose about 18c.
Made a diffuser/blocker for the top vent and am going to try that and see how it goes.

I think that comment is aimed at H2D owners. They have complained about no update and the H2D being forgotten. Then they get a beta with new features and would rather complain that it shouldn’t have been released yet. Really BL couldn’t win if they paid people to beta test too.
Then you have those that complain they don’t have it yet. Those that feel entitled to everything being handed to them immediately. Those that complain that a beta has bugs. Why did they add features? Why is it buggy? I’ve found releases to be a great indicator of those that should be muted. They’ll never be happy.

Sure, but that is why I specifically put this in the H2S forum and put H2S in the title, so we could weed out that drama….Cest la Vie

Low power mode for bed heatup → is this to avoid UPS overload?

You can control that with gcodes.

I have this issue with my 2kW UPS, only at startup with ABS or ASA, just for few seconds, load reach 102-110%,

To limit this, I preheat the bed before printing, in stages, first to 65°C then to 100°C, then start the print. This prevents the bed and chamber from heating up simultaneously at startup.
Please, could you provide a gcode template ?

I wasn’t snapping at you, just saying. I too would like to have the power issue resolved and the Birdseye working without laser. Just waiting. To be honest I have 2 P1S and 1 Mini and I can’t remember the last beta they were in. I’m sure they’ve been in some but given how updates have been few and far between I can’t remember them.

I’d imagine now, given how some can’t understand that a beta would have bugs and think that fixing said bugs is easy, we will be waiting a bit longer. I can’t see too many instances where the S would afford a different experience than the other 2 for printing.

Anyway, sorry if I came off being indifferent to what you were doing or like a jerk. Didn’t mean to. I can be a jerk, just didn’t mean to this time lol
