I’m trying to figure out what might be causing the quality issues with my prints.
As you can see, the top surfaces look pretty horrendous. It seems like under-extrusion, but I’ve already calibrated my eSUN PLA+ (which has been properly dried). This is black PLA, but the top surfaces appear very pale—almost ash-colored.
Also, if you look at the pictures, the left side of the print (when viewing the printer head through the glass) seems fine. However, as you move to the right, the layer lines show issues, almost like the print is slightly tilted or sloped.
Apologies this image is not clear,but this is the side that is perfect and has no issues.
Here are the steps I’ve taken so far:
- Dried the eSUN PLA+ filament
- Performed regular maintenance on the printer (cleaned the carbon rods, re-lubed, etc.)
- Calibrated after the maintenance
- Heated the hotend and used a needle to check for clogs (all clear)
- Removed the extruder to check for any filament blockage (all clear)
- Ran flow dynamics and adjusted the flow ratio for PLA
