Filament drying Gcode

Is the idea then to place the roll of filament on the bed while drying? Is there any concern with ventilation to exhaust moist air, or is desiccant alongside the roll preferred?

Bambu has documentation regarding filament drying with the print bed.

You can still dry filament on the P1S , you just have to set it manually.

If you do not have a X1 series printer but have a P1S printer that also has a closed chamber, you can also dry the filaments by setting the bed temperatures to be the same as a X1 series printer‘s, and the operation during the drying process is the same.

Would this also be a viable strategy to rebake desiccant?

While it would work… Would it not be much better to use a $50 drier than a $700 printer?
