I don’t want to have to keep track of filament and nozzles in a separate excel sheet.
Studio already knows which filaments (types, colors, spool rfid serials) I have in my AMS and should at least be able to track all rolls it has ever seen, with the most recent filament remaining status. That way I just need to pop a new roll into my AMS and my inventory gets updated. Add a button to remove empty rolls and all inventory is automated.
The same goes for vortek hotends. They all have a unique serial so it should be easy for studio to keep a list of all the nozzles it has seen in my printers. Bonus points for also listing the last used filament type for each nozzle and the current location (in hotend, rack slot, or not loaded into a printer). Again add a button to allow me to remove broken/discarded hotends.
what would be the ultimate goal? to not order the same? I agree it would be a nice addition but if is made in a clever way, like automatic inventory when using them or ordering from bambu / or manual input
Supply management. I currently have to open a closet to see which filaments I have, and most aren’t labelled. My printer has seen most of my rolls and even knows how much filament is still left. It would be ideal to just see a list with colors/materials I have so I can gauge when I need to order more, or to prevent me from ordering ones I already have.
For the hotends: I might have a different vortek nozzle not in the rack that has the correct color already loaded. It might be nice if studio tells me to grab another hotend rather than wasting filament on flushing.
