For some months I am struggling to solve an issue that I can’t seem to fix myself. Sadly searching for solutions only lead me to recalibrate the printer.
For an year I did not have any issue, I could pick any model, use my favorite eSUN PLA+ filament and it would be just fine, but at some point I started noticing that the prints come out weak and uneven.
For example, recently I tried to recalibrate the printer using the menu on the printer and checked all options then I went through the flow calibration where you need to manually find the best “K factor”. Below is a picture of a recalibration attempt using eSUN PLA+ Pink filament.
I of course did dry the filament, I tried multiple different eSUN PLA+ filaments because those were working just fine before. Changed the desiccant, recently dried in the oven. Changed the AMS slot. Tried to unclog the nozzle. Recalibrated the printer many times. Tried multiple models (I didn’t set any specific settings in Bambu Studio, I usually just use the defaults and only change the project filament and process to use the eSUN provided printer profile).
I did also try using 0.8mm nozzle instead of 0.4mm nozzle, the results were better, but maybe I may have been mistaken.
I of course tried using original Bambulab PLA filament. Did run the calibration with it too. The test does look better with the original filament. See picture below.
But I can’t say it is doing a great job with a random model either. See picture below of a Jachty.

Selected X1 Carbon, Download 3MF. I think I selected the 22mm print plate, changed the filament to eSUN PLA+ along with the process and then I just printed it. The result is not great. See picture of the box below.
The box is quite fragile, you can easily press it with your fingers and the individual strands of filament breaks. This happens to all sorts of models. Note that I have printed out similar models many times with many eSUN PLA+ filaments and they turned out just fine. You can also see that something is wrong when the printer is doing the flow calibration before it starts printing.
The only difference I can think of what has chaneged is that I ran an update, but I can’t be sure that this problem appeared after I updated the printed. First I thought Bambulab started to enforce users to use their filament, but I can’t say that even with the original Bambulab PLA filament I get good results, it is only slightly better.
Can anyone give me a hint what could be the issue?
