I was using some old clear+color filament that apparently had become brittle. it broke off inside the extruder and after removing the PTFE tubes from the extruder and removing the extruder and hot tip I was able to get the broken pieces out. Checked for any more clogs and everything looked fine.
I reattached everything but now it won’t load any filament from the AMS Lite. it keeps saying
“Unable to feed filament into the extruder. This could be due to tangled filament or a stuck spool. If not, please check if the AMS PTFE tube is connected.”
Everything is connected and there is no issues with the spools. I am at a loss here. Anyone have any ideas how to correct this??!!
Try to remove some failure possibilities. Remove the AMS completely, feed a roll from an external spool. If it still fails, your problem is definitely located somewhere in the toolhead.
If you have a spare nozzle, this is the time to try it out, and determine if the problem follows the nozzle or if it stays in the toolhead.
