Filament order during print

My models typically require all four of my filaments printed on each layer.
Is there a way to optimize the filament order layer to layer?
It seems that it prints Layer 1: 1,2,3,4 Layer 2: 1,2,3,4 etc.
Changing the order to: Layer 1: 1,2,3,4 Layer 2: 4,3,2,1 Layer 3: 1,2,3,4
would eliminate one filament swap per layer.
Is there a setting for this?

I do a lot of multicolor prints and have never seen it swapping purely due to a layer change.

In a multi-color print it starts a layer with the last color of the previous layer before continuing with the flush volume based sequence visible (and customizable) in the individual plate settings.

However, I have not upgraded to Studio 2.0 due to the amount of bug reports.

I think you are right. I’m not sure why when watching the printer they seemed to be in a straight sequence, but when I look through the code it seems to be optimized on layer changes. Thanks for the response.

My pleasure

It is a bit tricky to spot. Have a look at the plate settings (the nut to the right of the plate). You can customize both 1st and subsequent layer sequences.
