Filament purge on top of the PTFE wiper

So I printed myself a new nozzle wiper like in this video:

This moved the PTFE wiper a little to the left and now the filament purge is happening right on top of the wiper.

  1. I don’t know the location where the filament purge used to take place, it just seems strange to take place at the far right of the poop shoot.
  2. Is there a way to move the head to the left before this purge?
    I looked at the default machine gcode but is not clear to me what exactly I have to change. Online command referenced didn’t help that much.
    Could anyone give me some suggestions?

Are you having issues with factory wiper?

It was not wiping the nozzle well at all, however I didn’t have this issue but also didn’t pay attention to where the purging was taking place.

User mods that require that much unknown modding , would be better of left alone

The change should not be that extensive. It will mostly require a change in the x location before the purge.

I highly recommend this wiper. Covering the chute could lead to complications. This type of wiper is safe to use and a significant improvement over the stock wiper.

I don’t speak the language used on that page plus having it shipped to USA will take some time. I am hoping to find a solution for my mod.

Probably the best course of action is to talk to the original designer?
