Hi i have about 10 rolls of filament but i don’t know how or what is the best way to store them,

what I’m looking for

filament rack

good storage

Long or short term?

Long term: 5 gallon buckets and dessicant or cereal boxes

Short term: doesnt matter much for pla

I’m a big fan of the Husky 5 gallon containers from HD. They have hinges and hold 5 rolls easily. You can see what is in them and there is room to throw some drying agent in (desiccant, activate alumina, etc). They are air tight. I’ve gone from 5gl buckets to cereal boxes to 5 and 12 gallon husky containers. I use RepRack: Open Source Spool Holder And Storage System by Repkord, it works great, is easy to build, and is cheap. I’m pretty sure someone has uploaded his model to MakerWorld. For filaments other than PLA, I use vacuum bags with desicant containers. I have good luck with humidity in my print room ~30% or lower.

If you have 10, anywhere, literally anywhere. Keep them in 1 gallon bags and in their original boxes when not in use, in the AMS (if you have one) when in use.

Try having 250+ (ordering more tomorrow) with around 200 in use (every unique filament).

I use wire shelving for my in use filaments. A cupboard for my spares and against a wall on a desk for my non-Bambu Lab ones.

This is one example of the wire shelving, the come in many sizes, I have several for many uses around the house.
