Filament swap when onw if finished

Was wondering since i have a roll of petg thats 3/4 done if i start with that roll how do i get the ams to continue printing with a same roll loaded in the ams ?

Here is a really good post about how to set this up.

OH cool !

Thank you so much !
this is exactly what i was looking for.

Just one small question will it work with non bambu filament?

Yes, but be aware that everything has to be exactly the same between spool settings.

got it .

thank you
got 2 spools of polymaker petg that are 3/4 done and my next print requires 600grams of filament

Beware that for some unknown reason the automatic switch over works better for some people than others. I’ve had it work well for me but some people can’t get it to work.

You can also just let the spool run out and place the next spool in the same location and continue the print. I’ve successfully continued prints 12+ hours later. The printer pauses but keeps the bed hot until you continue it.

Also beware of how your 3rd party spool has the end of the filament attached to the spool. It needs to be able to detach cleanly. Some spools have the end taped or well secured.
