So I have been trying to print a PLA model with PETG supports for the past week now and the during printing my X1C is not printing the respective materials at their correct temps. I have done some trouble shooting and it seems to be skipping over a certain line of G-code where the printer is supposed to be set to the correct printing temp.
This is what I have boiled it down to…
In this section of the “Change Filament G-Code” the M109 command works correctly for setting purging temps. (Note: I took out the “if filament is PETG then set purge temp to 220C” from the OG code because…why?) but then if you keep going down you see this line. Where another M109 command SHOULD be setting the nozzle temp to the desired printing temp.
The weird part is, it also shows up properly in the Bambu Studio G-Code preview…
(Supposedly setting the nozzle temp to the printing temp of 250C)
The preview line types even show it should be printing at 250C.
But when I sit beside the printer for this entire test/troubleshooting print, the printer just seems to ignore this G-Code and go on its merry way of printing the filament at the max/purging nozzle temp set in the slicer instead of the proper printing temp.
I will upload the .3MF file and hopefully someone else with an X1C (or other printer?) can try this out and see if they get the same results. I’m very confused as to why the G-Code command seems to just be ignored during printing.
NOTE: I am still on firmware version 01.08.02.00 because I don’t like/agree with Bambu blocking out ORCA Slicer (where the same issue is happening). But I checked the patch notes for 01.08.05.00 and there was no mention of this issue.
