Filament Track Switch V2

Dear Bambu,

First, thanks for the FTS v1. It makes life so much easier and in some ways so much more difficult on my little brain. So, please move on to V2. V2 would have a minimum of 4 inputs preferably around 6-8(one for each AMS) and would include an extruder motor to assist with filament feed. The AMS would be responsible for feeding to switch only, not navigating the switch itself.

Now I know there is a push for a new AMS with multiple feeds but my brain can’t handle the math involved with all those paths. Hopefully, you understand the basis of my request, more paths in the switch itself and some assist for filament feed.

Again, thanks for V1.

Actually I think having a 4in2out in each AMS so that there are just two outlets on each AMS would be both more flexible, not limited to a certain number and far easier to wrap your head around then yet another box attached to the back of the printer.

A fully equipped X2D is a really hilarious mess. Let’s have 4 AMS, two of each feeding into 2 4in1 dangling, then going into the FTS, from there into the buffer, on it goes into another 4in1 (want a second input to your main nozzle for material that doesn’t like AMS) and finally into the main nozzle. Then add to that a TPU support feeder. Plug and play should look different :joy:

Agreed on the motor assist. Would solve most of the problems of this system.
