I have bought an X1C last year, assuming I bought into a one stop shop. But while the printer is top notch up to now, I increasingly run into unavailable filament troubles. This is going on for months now and it is very silent from your end on this. For a professional brand like yours I am quite dissapointed by the facts that there is no clear communication on this, and there is no resolution after months to address it.
Please respond with an answer on why this happens and when you think this is resolved.
Agree 100% I believe BL used to outsource filament but last I heard they brought that in-house. I’ve tried to stay with BL filament as long as I could but have now started testing other brands. For a company that wants to have their own ecosystem for all things 3D printed, they are doing a poor job. It’s sad.
I can recommend Sunlu Filament. Used some 100kg of PLA, PLA Matte, Silk PLA, PETG, PETG Matte. They are way cheaper than BL filament (10kg bulk orders via Ali Express or Amazon) and the results are amazing. As BL published the filament presets there is no need to do R&D for perfect filament settings on your own (like I did some time ago).
There are some filaments that I have only found on the Bambu store. The Iron Grey Metalic and the Cobalt Blue Metalic are two that come to mind. These are almost always out of stock. I’m not a hobbyist printer and go through 10 spools a week. The unavailability of filament has created some issues for me. Even other companies that resell these colors are often out of stock. Please increase the production on these colors.
Turns out if you use the Bambu HF PETG settings for Sunlu or Jayo HS matte PETG print fine and as a bonus they print faster if you use the Bambu settings versus the generic settings. Filament pricing is still rising a bit though yesterday I was able to get a bunch of Sunlu blue HS matte PETG for under $10 for 5 roll packs.
