On my H2D printer I have a persistent problem with unloading filament in the right nozzle. At the beginning it occurred only occasionally, but not it stays on.
As my ticket is open since 5 days no without reply I’m trying to seek some help here.
What I’ve done:
- Checked the whole filament part for pieces or tiny remains of filament - nothing found
- Took out the nozzles and pulled out the tubes, pushed a piece of filament though the print head - no issues
- Dismantled the printhead up to the idler arms - found nothing
the only thing that was strange was a tiny lever with a magnet on it in the idler arm. In comparison the magnet on the faulty arm was much closer to the sensor than in the other.
As I could not really bend the metal lower (looks like a cast metal part), I’ve tried it with force and was able to move it down a little. Not that much I would like to have it, but different as before.
I put the whole printhead back together again. Who’s ever had the “fun” to to this knows that this is nothing you want to do again.
And what sould I say, error is still there 
Then I thought it was time to do a factory reset - maybe this would help. Surprise, surprise, a factory reset is not possible when filament is loaded.
What’s really strange is that I can load filament into the right nozzle after performing a power cycle. The unload process works, but after I’ve completely removed the filament, the printer says I should pull the filament back and remains in the unload function.
So, does anyone have experience with that or any hints on what I can do next?
Sounds like the filament sensor is giving a false presence reading. I had the same thing on my X1 Carbon when tiny filament bits got lodged in the sensor.
I haven’t had that exact issue on the H2D, but I did have chips collect in the dual filament guide, which stopped the left-side cutter from making a clean cut. The system then yanked the filament—causing random breaks—and, for extra fun, some filament escaped past the nozzle into the chamber. 
Worth checking/cleaning both the sensor and the dual guide, and verifying the cutter is making a clean, square cut.
I’ve already checked everything. After a power cycle I can load filament in the right nozzle without problems. Strange, then that shouldn’t be possible as there is still filament loaded.
Trying to unload shows the same behaviour than before.
I’ve never waited so long for a support to answer. The H2D is not a lucky buy. Only problems.
it sounds like you may have a nozzle clog
I can extrude new material through the nozzle, how there should ba a clog somewhere ? Even without a nozzle inserted the error persists
Extruding without a nozzle should trigger an additional warning: with no nozzle to heat, the system cannot reach the set temperature. I still suspect there is residual filament lodged somewhere or a sensor is sticking/misreading. Loading worked, but the machine forcibly pulled the filament back instead of performing a controlled retraction. I didn’t notice until I found an odd filament runner in the chamber. When I inspected the other filaments, their ends had been cut very poorly. However, if you genuinely have checked everything you mentioned—and actually done so—I have to admit I’m out of ideas.

Bambulab has now replied after a long wait of 4 days, and they offered me to send a replacement (filament idlers ). This spare part has the filament hall sensors already pre-installed. Hope this will fix the issue. I will report this here. Maybe this could be helpful for people having the same issues in the future.

As promised here an update on this error I had. Maybe this could help users that may have this issue in the future.
I’ve got the replacement yesterday. Today I’ve installed it into the tool head. The replacement contained both extruder arms with installed sensors.
After I’ve installed it the problem was fixed. Very likely it has been a fault with the hall sensor on the right extruder arm.
So all has come to a good ending. Support was not that fast but there were no endless discussions please try this and that, make a video and so on and they sent me the required spare directly.
So 3 of 5 points for the support. If they had replied within 1 day it would have been perfect.
