I did a print today and noticed that the filament wiping blade was impacting my prints. Thinking it was extruder specific, I switched to print on the other side and got the same results. I then proceeded to do a calibration test and full factory reset. Problem surfaced after all these attempts. Then I got to thinking if the filament wiping blade was suppose to be straight or slightly bent. I pushed the blade such that it bent back and not direct facing down as to hit the plate when printing and its now fixed.
I have a few questions:
- What is this blade suppose to look like when it’s properly installed (if I can find a reference image I can validate what it’s suppose be like in the correct state).
- Is it possible that someone (maybe my daughter when cleaning filament, might have pulled this down or another event in the print causing it to bend straight down)
- By me bending it back up (prints work now, but I’m not sure what harm it may do)
