I’ve had my A1 Mini about two weeks and just love it and it’s working so well I don’t want to eff it up. But I am drawn to filament that has wood fiber in it. The user manual says no but I saw a chart somewhere which said yes.
So has anyone tried wood filament in a Mini and did it work ok and what brand did you use? And I might as well ask about other filaments with stuff in it too. Do you have to get a special nozzle? Take my money.
I have already printed quite a few things with the wood PLA from Bambu on my A1 Mini without any problems. You only need a hardened nozzle and from what I’ve read so far you shouldn’t use a 0.2 nozzle.
Apart from that, I haven’t seen any problems printing PLA Wood on my A1 Mini yet.
So Bambu PLA Wood actually has wood powder in it. So technically, depending on your reference source, that is not quite the same as fiber since it is much finer. Does that make a difference? No idea, but do all filament makers use the same size wood “addative” in their wood filament?
