My p1s ran out mid print. So i went back to add a new spool, put the filament into slot one of the amd and it pulls it 2 inches, then pushes it back out, then pulls it 2 inches and then pushes it out. Does this for 20 minutes so far and has not loaded the filament. Just pulls it in and out 2 inches is all.
I have a video ill try and post.
Thanks for the help
Is it binding on something?
Have you tried to help it along manually by grabbing the filament and pushing it further?
No idea how the brains behind the P1S work, but the machines I do have H’s / X’s I’ve completely disconnected the AMS power, manually pushed filament through to see if the issue was AMS side, something broke in the buffer, a piece broke off elsewhere etc.
You didn’t say if that movement was the 1st couple inches of filament loading or if it’s doing this down the line somewhere after it’s been loading for some distance.
Tjat movement is right at the beginning. I have tried to guide it and it will not feed. Just goes back and forth right when i feed it haha
No snags or hang up on anything, just wont feed.
Well do you know if you can disconnect AMS mid print with P1S and work on it and then reconnect it with no issues? You can on the other models.
I’m just saying you should be able to manually push it through to see if it’s binding right there at the beginning because of something and figure out what it is while the motor isn’t interfering with diagnosing. As long as the P1S recognizes it’s fine to do that.
