Filament won't load into extruder(hotend not clogged)

The filament won’t load into extruder, even with new hotend. I’ve tried a couple new hotends and a new extruder unit.

Yes, the filament makes into the extruder unit, but then pulls back out every time.

Same here but mine start in November and I still haven’t found a solution

Mine started a couple weeks ago. I ordered a new extruder and new hotends to try and fix it, but they didn’t help.

Same here replaced the same things and it hasn’t worked

I’ve ordered a new extruder motor. I will see if that helps.

I was experiencing this not long ago on one of the H printers, sorry it’s not the same printer but maybe the info will help, and it wound up being that I cut too much of an angle on the filament. It got to the extruder and the extruder tried to grab it, but because the way I cut it the gear couldn’t grab the filament.

Not on the H2*, but chiming in to say that a flat cut is the right cut for bambu. Back in the ender days, lots wanted you to cut an angle to help it feed in various ways. But now, take your cues from the machine itself. it has a cutter. it cuts 90degree square cuts, not an angle. Be the machine

I have a similar issue with my new P1S. I have found that the feed tube position is relevant. If I take the top cover off the filament feeds correctly. With the cover on it pushes the feed tube down so the filament enters at a different angle and usually does feed. Has anyone else seen this?

I can add some infos but sadly nothing helful.

I have my printer since end of october (Black friday) as you can guess i was hyped new P2S (first 3d Printer for me) and i went ham on it and printed roughly 10kg of mostly PLA and some PETG CF. Then short after christmas when my printer had like 4-5 rest days suddenly i got the error that the AMS 2 Pro couldn’t feed into the extruder anymore. So i tried somethings myself in hope i could fix it but couldn’t so i resumed to a Support Ticket.

Send them some videos and tried some things nothing helped.
→ Got a new Internal Hub Unit

Didn’t help at all so messaged them again with the hint from a forum post it might be the hall sensor.
→ got a second internal hub unit + hall sensor.
→ it wasn’t
Didn’t help sadly. I tried downgrading the Firmware which didn’t do anything aswell. Some point to the buffer but for me that is no issue aswell since i get the same error when i connect the AMS PTFE directly into the printer itself.
I swapped out all PTFE aswell so it can’t be the friction of old tubes. Now i’m waiting here with a 4 month old printer combo and can only print via external spool. :confused:

I tried cleaning the extruder gears a bit but that didn’t help aswell + found some forum post where they even swapped them and it didn’t do anything.

My issue turned out to be the AMS Hub. There is a small triangle magnet that came unglued. When I unscrewed the AMS Hub from the back of the cabinet the magnet was stuck to the cabinet. I had to unscrew the circuit board on the AMS Hub to find where it belonged. Once I got back where it belongs and put everything back together everything works great now.

So you don’t have the buffer on the backside of the P2s but the AMS Hub 4 → 1 ?

They have the P1S and the 4 to 1 hub. The P2S buffer only works on the P2S.

Yes, I added the AMS Hub 4 into 1 when I added the AMS HT

So i now had multiple interactions with the support team and none of it worked, the support even escalated my ticket to senior engineering team whatever that means.

Their answer was to just tear apart the whole printhead and check if every connector sits properly.

In the meantime, i just analysed it myself further and ordered a new buffer.

Now it works like new.

I did the whole 5 yards, changing all PTFE tubing, printing a lot of PTFE guides and so on. In the end it was just the buffer.

Hope this helps someone.

Don’t let the thought fool you, if you skip the buffer for the filament and it’s working (from the external spool) it can’t be the buffer.

The communication still runs through the buffer.

I tend to notice my extruder gears getting small pieces of filament stuck in it from time to time and that immediately fixes my loading issue.

Same issue for me, the “jam” even caused the PTFE hose to unlock from the AMS.

But just with one filament - I cut it anew (45°), and I never ever had any more problems.

try factory restarting and buying a new filament buffer
