Hey. So I usually run the “complete” calibration but I’d like to save some time by running the “fine” FR calibration. As you’ll see in the below image BambuStudio by default set that to “.97”. I’m assuming this is because when I ran the Flow Dynamics calibration I chose “.03” as my k factor and Bambu studio is subtracting .03 from 1. Hence the “.97”.
I think K-factor and flow ratio are completely independent and this is just a coincidence.
BambuLab has a default flow ratio less than one for many filaments.
Pressure Advance (K factor) and flow rate are different things. Flow rate increases how far the extruder gears move per expected mm3 of spaghetti, Pressure advance is the time delay compensation for the time the material takes to react to the pressures of the extruder motor. (think wave propogation in a fishtank)
