Firmware 01.02.00 H2C

Hi all any idea why my printer has updated to version 01.02.00.

I was on the latest beta but now its changed to this.

Its the beta V01.01.50.00 just in its final release form.

installing now

Do we have any info on it. i cannot find it

I am happy to receive the update so early after release, but… what happens if I press ‘Confirm’ mid-print? I do not dare to try… :see_no_evil_monkey:

It just takes you to the page with the details about the update, it does not actually update the printer. I’ve tried and it does not allow me to update while the printer is preforming a task.

After installing the 01.02.00 update and running the full calibration including the Motion Accuracy Calibration with vision Encoder (had to wait until the heatbed cooled down) and during that time i noticed that the cooler at the back of the toolhead (photo) stayed on all that time making a much louder noise than before.

After all was cooled down the fan also stopped.

I did a small print and again after the part was finished that fan just stayed on with high rpm and the sound produced was louder than it was even with the beta version installed.
I was also hoping that maybe, just maybe the “electronic noise” coming from the vortek motor was also fixed but sadly that is not the fact.

Anyone else noticing this?

That’s likely the Purify Air at Print End option

I pin pointed the spinning fan to be the one I show in the photo and I far as i know that is not a purify air fan.

yes i was refering to the fan in your image not a seperate purity fan, With the recent H2C firmware update, Bambu mention a new “Purify Air at Print End” option, which can run an air-purifying step after the print finishes.

So to me, having the fan your showing in the pic continue running after a print makes sense. Whether it is set to internal circulation or exhaust, keeping the part-cooling fan and/or auxiliary fans running should help move air around the chamber more efficiently and reduce stagnant areas as this will be blowing in a different direction. That should make it more likely that airborne particles are carried towards the filter rather than just sitting in dead spots inside the chamber.

It may also help reduce debris settling in or around the fan, potentially helping with long-term reliability, although that part is just my guess.

I am not claiming to be an expert on 3D printer chamber airflow, but I do work with aerosol mixing chambers, and in that context turbulence and good mixing are important for keeping particles suspended and moving them out of stagnant zones. From that point of view, circulating the chamber air after a print seems like good practice to prevent plasic particles settling on surfaces, especially if the aim is to give the filters a better chance of capturing airborne particles before you open the door.

When I upgraded from an H2D a few days ago I had to downgrade my AMS2 firmware from 04 to 03. After getting the new H2C firmware the AMS went back to 04. Didn’t see that mentioned anywhere, but I might have missed it

I just upgraded my H2C to 01.02.00.00. This update allows me to print TPU on the left nozzle. I put TPU filament on the left external spool holder and run a short PTFE tube from the spool holder to the standard left nozzle port on the back of the printer. No need to take the top off and feed the TPU directly into the extruder. I’ve only tried SUNLU TPU95A which prints great with the default Bambu Lab TPU95A filament settings. I’ve only printed with TPU95A, nothing softer. Lots of other cool stuff in this release but I also really like being able to run the printer video display in Bambu Studio in full screen mode.
