I am at “make your own sign" I have downloaded a blank item that allows me to add my own text, however in the background of my text I can still read "your text here" will this print in the background as well as my own text?
Text can be added as a part of an object or as a modifier. Sounds like you’ve added your text as one of those and the original model has the other.
If you select the object on the Prepare tab then change “global” to “objects” just below the filaments you should see the separate parts of your model.
You should be able to select the text you want to remove and hit delete on just the one part
ok I think I have that part sorted, connected to wi fi, I then clicked on slice plate, then send but doesn’t send to printer. Obviously missing out on something.
Any ideas.
On the preview tab after you slice the plate the top right button had a drop down that can switch between “print plate” and “send”
Whichever is selected the dialog box that pops up has it’s button labelled “send”
At that point you click the send button on that pop up dialog, if you had it switched to “send” not" “print” in that drop-down it will load the file into the printers memory but not print it.
When either option you will get a progress bar saying”sending” so it’s easy to confuse the two modes.
Which printer do you have?
If you go to the device tab on studio and select storage on the left you can see if your file has been sent to the printer.
If so you can hover on the file and click print
I have the Bambu mini A1. Tried above but I think the issue is at some stage before that.
The item I want to print was a blank name plate that allowed me to add text, so got to that stage with your advice. As it won’t send I then went to “device" and it states “File does not exist”
Update…….. I had not clicked on ‘body’&’text’ boxes, it looks more ready to print now as the print all box has now highlighted, however:
Conflicts of gcode paths have been found at layer 2. Please seperate the conflicting objects further.(Text<-> Body1).

UPDATE……..
I have gone around in circles but I eventually got it to send and has started to print, not quite sure what I sorted but good for now.
I’ll let you know if print works ok when done
This is what happened, a partial success. I had downloaded the blank name plaque and added the word `dog` when it went to print it never printed the blank plaque part but printed the name dog only as separate letters.
I will go back and try again over the next few days and see if I can work out what I have done wrong.
