I did my first clean and regrease on the H2S today at about 160 hours. The Z axis was really black when cleaned. Is this normal? The picture is from cleaning 1 of the Z screws. Everything else was spotless. I greased it up good because it looks like a lack of lubricant to me.
Yes this is very normal. Keep an eye on that screw, lubricate it well; it looks to be getting the bulk of the wear, which is normal. I cleaned the screws on my X1C at the 200 hour and all 3 looked worse than this, I’m at 2000 hours with no issues with the screws.

Yep black gunk is normal
If it’s bronze colored, completely missing, or glittery is when you should be concerned.
