I’ve recently upgraded (as it were) from an X1-C to an H2D.
I print quite a few things where I have writing, a logo, or similar, in a different colour on the first layer.
On the X1-C these were perfect. On the H2D the colour in the lettering has small gaps, where the main colour shows through. If you look at the B or the AA in the photo, you can see it. It doesn’t matter particularly on this print, but on many it really does, and leaves the item looking far less than professional.
Everything is the same as when I printed it on the X1-C, at least as much as it can be. Same filament, same bed plate (standard PEI one they come with), same model.
I don’t think changing to a 0.2mm nozzle is the fix. That’s partly as it worked with the 0.4 on the X1-C and partly as the colour here is solid, so I don’t see a finer nozzle making a difference. Also, the increased print time with the 0.2, not needed at all for this sort of model, is unfeasible.
Any thoughts on how to fix this issue? I really feel it shouldn’t be happening.
