Hi!
I am wondering if anyone has run into issues with the first layer on the X1C… I mean, it comes out all right, but you can see the layer lines are only semi-melted together… which makes it look weird. I have my printer running on the standard setting with black PLA and a Bambu Textured PEI flexi plate.
An image is attached. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Please zoom into the photo for a better look!
Use a smoother plate, either smooth PEI or even one of the 3D effects plates. It’s possible to get MUCH better first layer quality.
You may also want to try raising the first layer height. It’s counterintuitive, but a thinner first layer can actually look worse.
Finally, try turning on arachne wall generation instead of classic.

Thank you for the suggestions. I do not have a smooth plate available to me, so I will have to do without that. You said you want me to raise the first layer height? Do you mean increasing the parameter in Bambu Studio, or decreasing it?
