Hi,
my TPU for AMS just arrived and I quickly wanted to print a throwing disc that we already printed a couple of times - but after a few days playing it always breaks (PETG HF).

The model is specifically for TPU/AMS and PLA. I printed the inner ring in PETG HF.
The first five layers were superb - although I noticed a slight under extrusion in theTPU. I suppose when it came to the interlocking segments, it went completely haywire - I suppose because of the missing adhesion between TPU and PETG.
is there any advice how I can mitigate that problem?
Unfortunately, the Timelapse is useless, as I stopped the print before that layer was finished.
Real tpu bonds extremely well to petg…But I’m not sure that tpu for ams is actually tpu or just a soft PLA, which wouldnt stick to petg. Also not sure what they mix with the petg-hf to make it HF

I usually gets zits and what looks like random seam with wet tpu, so wasn’t sure.
The TPU for AMS is similar but different. It needs to be dried just as much and gives headaches when it doesn’t get its way. Take a little from your answer and just a little from mine and that’ll probably do him. You’re not wrong, I’m just adding.

You’re probably right. I’ve never tried tpu for ams with petg-hf. Hopefully someone that has will chime in.

Well, it went right from the Packaging into the AMS…but I will try to dry it and reprint.
Again - this is just in combination with PETG HF. Printed alone, the results are fantastic! Even with very few contact points to the bed, the prints come out great!
I was wondering, so i broke down and used AI. I would still always dry it too.
Its kinda surprising to see what it said about pla. I feel like it always sticks well for me, but maybe its just the models I’ve used the 2 on.

I an using petg-hf as a support so yes for me its not a perfect sticking stuff. I do wonder if its ‘just soft’ pla since the heat resistant specs are just too good at 84c. I do dry it well before use.

OK - so I bought an AMS HT and gave the TPU a 16hr drying cycle, then I reprinted the same.
I find the TPU for AMS not bonding perfectly with PETG HF. When I printed it, the moment it starts interlocking with each other was critical again and the adhesion was more than wonky but in the end it worked out.
