The LED light settings on the P1S are not very user-friendly.
There should be user selectable settings to chose from.
My preference for best usablitity would be:

  • Light goes on whenever I switch the printer on (so that I can inspect it before the next print job)
  • Light stays on during printing
  • Light goes off after some idle timeout (e.g. 15 minutes)
  • Light goes on whenever I press a button on the operating panel

I would definitely like to see such an improvement.
The light operation on the P1S is a real nag.
It is not at all sophisticated and implemented quite poorly.

This would be a great improvement. I end up starting the printer and turning on the light manually and then leaving both the printer and light on all the time until im done printing.
