Flaws printing PPA-CF, please help!

Hi all,
attached are 2 pics of 2 yacht rudders I am printing in BambuLabs PPA-CF.
Sliced in Bamu Studio. The topmost one has a (turned down) flow rate of 5 mm/sec and the bottom one (default?) 8mm/sec. Both at 300 degC nozzle, top one at 105 degC bed, bottom one at 110 degC. BambuLabs High Temp build plate. During the print I tried speed turned down to slowest otherwise no faster than standard speed.
I originally thought over extruding hence flow rate reduction but there is hardly any difference. Can anyone give me a definite reason why these “blobs/artefacts” are appearing consistently. I can’t afford to keep printing rubbish at 150 quid a kilo!

It really needs to be dried before printing. Did you dry it?

Yes and ran it in Sunlu S4 dryer at 55 deg C

I would give it another go at 70 degrees for at least 12 hours.

If you could upload the 3MF file it would allow direct inspection of the model settings and take the guesswork out of diagnostics. And/Or upload the screengrabs of the model as it appeared in the slice Preview.

Just looking at this, it reminds me of problems I had with PC filament. This wouldn’t be chance be printed at a infill percentage would it? I ask because for some filaments, if there is nowhere for the filament to expand to, one can get these sorts of “pilling” affect. There are remedies but rather than play 20 questions, if we knew what you were trying to achieve, it would really save time.

Could it be anything else?

I figured that it might still be wet! I’ve tried pretty much everything else. I’ll set it at 110 and check weight each hour until weight reduction reduces or stops.

I’ve had similar defects printing PPA-CF that I had first dried for 12 hours at 85c in the AMS-HT and then also printed while drying at 85c. It was a 14 hour print. I next tried drying in an oven at 120c for 5 hours and then did a small test print (2 cylinders separated by about 300mm) that came out perfectly. I think you really need to dry at the higher temp. to completely squeeze the water out. I kind of doubt that drying a spool on a heat bed set to 110c will actually get the filament itself anywhere near 110c.
