Flowrates on P2S with stock nozzle

Before i purchased the printer, i was looking for some flow data specs about the P2S.
Here are some of mine in case anyone was wondering. Maybe it helps and some might add theirs.
Could also help you with solving extruder related issues as a comparison to your specs.
Gonna order the high flow nozzle too to get a acomparison as this isn’t actually mentioned anywere. The ~40mm³/s listed in the shop with the high flow can already be achieved by the standard nozzle.
I’ll try to update whenever something changes or i test a new filament.

All data in mm³/s, max flow test until the print fails, tested with actual print application.
As mentiond below, this is for the standard 0.4mm nozzle that comes with the machine.

eSun Pla Basic: 41 @ 230°C
Sunlu PLA HS: 38 @ 230°C
Sunlu PETG Basic: 39 @ 262°C
Eryone PLA Basic: 37 @ 235°C
Eryone PLA Matte: 48 @ 230°C
Anycubic PLA Basic: 34 @ 235°C

Great information, Im new to the P series with my just purchased P2S . Have my A1 dialled in well over the last 2 years.

Flow rates are going to vary by nozzle diameter.
With .2mm, .4mm, .6mm, .8mm nozzles available there is a wide band of flow rates going from very small (fine, very fine) to very large flow rates.
One reason I stay inside the BL ecosystem is they have those already calculated for their filaments and their nozzles.
You avoid the need to do pre-testing. Swap the physical nozzle at the printer, change nozzle size AT THE PRINTER, and everything is pre-set in Studio.

Your right, forgot to mention that the data above applies for the 0.4mm nozzle.
However avoiding the test of your filament and just rely on the stock settings seems like wasting the potential speed of the mashine to me
=> print time reduction

I also tested a little and got 35 at 220°C with some cheap Jayo PLA and 0.4 standard nozzle. Not bad.

Just wondering, what would you recommend as 0,6mm nozzle? The standard one or high flow? I think 35mm³ (or maybe a bit more) is enough for the standard 0,6 to have some good print time savings. But the high flow would be even better. I found it can achieve up to 50mm³, but there are some artifacts and lower quality over 35mm³ so maybe not that good in the end. The high flow version is also double the price.

So, today i got to test my 0.4mm high flow nozzle on the P2S

With Eryone PLA Basic @240°C, flow dynamics calibrated, using the Max Flowrate calibration, im getting up to 72mm^3/sec with a flawless result.
Gonna test on a real print application now. But so far, im very very happy with that result. For big prints with large outer diamiters that really cuts printtime in half.



Gonna test the 0.8 hf soon.

I got problem printing stock(in memory) benchy on my new P2S AMS combo

I thought it can be flow related problem. I tested it using
Bambu slicer max flow test tower
got this result - 14mm = 24mm3/sec

Now i’m wondering is it ok or not? and what flow rates imbedded benchy uses…

I found the reason. It’s Filament.
I used basic Elegoo PLA. Tested same Gcode with Bambulab basic PLA got nice result
