Hello, I am having an issue with “Flush into this Object”. I can’t figure out if this is an issue, if I am expecting the wrong result from the software, or if I don’t understand what defines “Flushed” Estimate.
Two screenshots included. One in which I have a random flush object.
As you can see, my projected Flushed Estimate does not change. Why is this so? Shouldn’t the Flush Estimate decrease with the object added?
Or is the object considered part of Flush Estimate and I just need to trust the system?
Flushing volumes are set in a table by clicking “Flushing Volumes” on the left side, next to “Project Filaments”.
You can set each individual flushing volume by clicking into a cell of the table and entering your own estimate.
Sorry, seems I used the wrong term (now edited), this is not related to the Flushing Volume. I meant the Flushed amount estimated in the top right. Flushing Volume, I would assume wise to keep as calculated to make sure it is fully purged before switching filaments.
“Flushed” in the top right … Why is this not changing?
Anyone have clarity on if “Flushed” in the top right means just what is purged from the chute or if that means what is used in the flush object?
Its the combinaison of all filament purged wether its in the chute or in an object

Found this since I’m experiencing the same thing… If that’s the case, why is the total used material going up when adding the flush object?
Same for OP in their screenshots. If the flush is going into the flush object, the job would not be using more filament total.
EDIT: Looks like the flushed amount will go down when using flush into object, but only in print by layer mode, not by object.
You can see here that the flushed amount should be going down and your solution is factually incorrect: Making better use of Flush-into object in Bambu Studio
When you print by object, the flushing has to happen for each color change as each object is printed. If you print by layer, the flushing has to happen only once for each layer that requires it, regardless of how many objects are on the build plate.
When doing filament switches, by-object is significantly more expensive, filament-flush wise, than by-layer.
