Hi All,
Apologies if the question has already been answered, I could not find anything. I am trrying fill a specific area in a model with a depth height difference. How can I go about this?
Ideally I want to fill the white area and make it flush with black area (see photo).
If there are similar posts/video happy to be pointed in that direction.
Thanks
Hi 'Baron,
I think you’ll need to create a cube primitive shape as a new part of the model (r-click on the model itself to add one, not the plate). Then size & position the cube so it overlaps the area you want to fill. Optionally, you could then also select the two parts and perform a boolean join on them (the two overlapping squares on the top toolbar). Otherwise they’ll stay as independent parts in the object tree, but as long as their print settings match, they should print as if they were one piece anyway.
To align the top surfaces of the cube and main body, assuming the whole top of the piece you’re filling is flat, using the r-click Align → Top can be useful. Or using numeric entry for the positioning (vs. dragging the handles) can be a lot more accurate.
It may be easier to do this in a CAD/mesh editor program, especially if you’re already familiar with any. But should be doable in Studio.
