Another for the list.
I wanted to apologize to all of you if I was offensive and proud, but between Reddit and this forum, I felt attacked and responded without letting myself go.
Sometimes I realize I’m a bit heavy-handed but please don’t always respond sarcastically to people’s posts, we are in a world where freedom of expression is sovereign and should not be questioned.
If my post had offended anyone, perhaps it could have been pointed out to me in a different way rather than in an inflammatory way.
But I am a person who has principles of goodness and brotherhood and after a while I know I have to apologize to anyone I may have offended or been rude to.
Life has also been unkind to me, reducing me to serious handicap conditions (not mental, but physical) and perhaps, as happens to all of us, without realizing we sometimes exaggerate.
I’m giving myself the greatest responsibility for whatever fault there may have been in this post, but you too, sometimes, don’t necessarily seek conflict.

This forum is a melting-pot. Members from so many different countries and cultures, I think we sometimes forget how different we all are.
That being said, we could all learn something from taking responsibility for our own part. And we could definitely be nicer to one another! If you wouldn’t say it to a person’s face, you shouldn’t be typing it here.
Thank you, @Claudio_CloClo for that response. We need more of this, humility, and self awareness. Thinking about how others may be viewing us from their perspective.

All drama aside, Sorting would be nice. A-Z, Z-A, Newest, Recent Uploads, etc.
Another nice feature would be to have a “notification”, I say it in quotes because I don’t necessarily want or need a new reb bubble to go check when I visit the site. But to quickly click an icon that shows recent uploads/updates from the creators that you follow.
As of now, you need to scroll through you list of creators and individually click on one of them to see if they have uploaded anything new.
Having to rely on 3rd party links get be annoying. Just another log-in/subscription that you need to handle, bookmark and site you have to visit.
There are a few creators that I regularly revisit to see if they have a new design. But with the current way, you do miss a design that would pique your interest if you don’t click on the creators. There are some creators that aren’t as prolific or do as many uploads as some of my favorites do, but I followed them because of their potential or a specific model that grabbed my eye.
I know thingiverse has the ! near you name that does this, MMF has your tribes.
And the fact that some creators are so busy creating that they don’t have the time to create a model, uploaded it then visit a dozen sites to announce it. And that is assuming they only upload to ONE 3D site, rather than the 10 or so “popular” sites.
Hey that’s me! My presence online is such a mess. I announce updates randomly on a few different platforms, depending. Makerworld is my main platform, and I really want to be able to announce things properly on here. I’ve poked Bambu a few times about it. Hopefully we actually get some features on that front.
How do people do it? Like maintain big social media channels on youtube/instagram, and make fancy videos, all while developing, frankly, really interest and sometimes complex models? Maybe it’s essentially their day job, while I’m still trying to fit all of this around my day job.
I think it’s one of the big areas that Makerworld lacks a little, is having some inbuilt social tools that allow designers to communicate what’s going on.

I add stuff here and people (hopefully) find it.
I do not social-ise my work as social networks are the work of the devil.
Followers need their leaders to lead, we have nothing here to achieve that. I only hope the features hinted at by a staff member possibly speaking out of turn promised.

I hear ya. I don’t do much creating, but I do keep friends and followers apprised of my printing activities especially when it comes to prints that I sell to my customers. Between 2 FB accounts and the few Discord channels that is quite enough for my tired old brain to keep up with. Can’t imagine how it would be if I was creating too and posting across ALL of the platforms. I wouldn’t have time to do anything else!
I LOVE being retired and only answering to my own schedule. How people who have jobs, family, social lives AND keep up is beyond me.
