Foreign Object detection error EVERY SINGLE print since 01.02.00.00 update

I know the 01.02.00.00 removed the Live View Camera calibration option and is relying on set factory baselines for detection…what happens when for whatever reason, the trigger is outside the fixed tolerances (different color plate) and you get an error every single time like I’m getting now?

Kinda looks like they found a way to restrict/or made it an annoyance to use 3rd party plates(I’m using green coolplate, happens on blue Biqu plates too) OR give up certain features to use it (which if I have to I guess I will). Explains why they removed ability to calibrate the camera to set the baseline unique to your printer.

Don’t know if it matters but I use X2D in LAN mode.

One less thing user can compensate for and Bambu takes full control of.

Anyone else having similar problem? If so, what build plate, and are you on LAN or Bambu Cloud?

I now get that error about 50% of the time when using my BIQU Glacier plate (purple color). Not sure why sometimes error and sometimes no error.

I used my current plate since X2D release on prior firmware, hundreds of prints and never got the error with clean bed, it actually did a great job at detecting foreign objects. Now it’s every time on a clean bed. I found few posts on FB of people having same issue.

Baseline calibration is now hardcoded in firmware, that baseline seems to be whatever Bambu wants it to be. The Live View Camera calibration option is now removed, so you can’t calibrate it.

In your case, the purple is hard to pickup sometimes compared to bright green or blue so it’s probably not picking it up half the time depends on lighting conditions of the room would be my guess. My green plate is getting picked up every time as a foreign object.

Reverted to prior firmware.

Ran the liveview camera calibration, NO MORE FALSE ERRORS.

I then ran 5 tests placing random size objects in random locations on bed and it detected it EVERY time.

This was exactly my thought after seeing this with my X2D and BIQU Glacier.

Can we raise an issue for firmware somewhere?
